We are driven by the need that every child and young person deserves to feel safe, experience the fun of being a child, have dreams, hopes and embrace a world where life is full of opportunities. However, we recognise and sadly acknowledge the growing concern that children and young people are experiencing low mood, depression, self-harming and a deep sense of loneliness and isolation. For this reason, we have made it our business to address the well-being and the growing concern that too many children and young people are at risk of being diagnosed with a mental illness.
We therefore have a purpose to address the many challenges and dilemmas that so many pupils and students are struggling to address; circumstances at home and at school where these situations have a detrimental impact on their emotional, social and mental health.
In addition to our work in schools, we also provide a parent/carer and family programme to support families that maybe struggling with the basic day to day needs of running a home and the dynamics that can be detrimental to how families interact and relate to each other.
We facilitate therapeutic and well-being retreats. Provide training for INSET and continued professional development on self-care and managing time effectively to maintain a work/life balance.
We offer a private practice and facilitate therapy with individuals and their families.
We work with looked after children and work closely with social services.
We provide assessments and make referrals to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service.

Resources
If you have the storage, we have the resources.
Whilst resources for arts therapists can be mobile, at Bennu we believe in equipping our therapists and schools with the best equipment that can enhance the therapeutic process and sessions. For this reason, we provide a variety of artistic and creative resources that can also be provided in individual packs. These items will be discussed with you, ensuring that we meet the needs of your pupils/students and staff.
