Throughout her career, Karen, also known as Kaz, has been deeply involved in community arts, leading innovative projects aimed at addressing the social, emotional, and mental health needs of children, young people, and families. Her extensive work across 33 local authorities has equipped her with a profound understanding of social demographics and the impact of trauma and suffering on learning, social development, and overall mental health, wellbeing and self-care of children and young people. Karen provides a safe and confidential space for adults, families, and organizations to address personal challenges impacting their relationships at home and work.
Committed to promoting self-care, she delivers ‘Be Kind to Yourself’ workshops and webinars. Additionally, as a clinical supervisor, Karen assists professionals in managing work-life balance and reducing stress and burnout. By combining her skills as a clinician and artist, Karen advocates for therapeutic interventions, recognizing their potential to save lives and catalyse life-changing transformations.
